What is the Veterinary Information Portal (VIP)?
VIP is the next evolution of the Veterinary Information and Education Network (VEIN) website launched in 2001 by the University of Sydney Library and the Faculty of Veterinary Science.
VIP is a gateway to teaching information and resources on the world wide web. All content is added by academic staff and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Science. Using the National Library of Medicine's controlled vocabulary thesaurus, Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) indexing content is 'tagged' with appropriate MeSH terms. Staff and students can then collect, collate and display VIP content depending on their MeSH term selections. The primary objective for VIP is to provide supporting content and reference material for teaching and learning across the Faculty's courses.
If you have a specific question or would like assistance with setting up your Unit of Study page please Contact Us. We are always interested in hearing about how the system could be improved or could work better so feedback and suggestions are welcome, send feedback to VIP Feedback
